For what it is worth, several blokes have just spent 4 days and nights on "a lake near me" and they have all been adding salt...............and blanking................not even a tench.

I've been using plastic corn, and I have caught 2 carp and 3 tench over the same period.

Den

"When through the woods and forest glades I wanderAnd hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees; When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,And hear the brook, and feel the breeze;and see the waves crash on the shore,Then sings my soul..................

Is that fishing over any bait Den or just single baits? Clear water?

I'll get some pva sock then Brian for this summers river sessions.

You could Ian, but personally I think its an expensive way of summer fishing as i use a lot more bait in summer so i tend to use a feeder more then.

I used a method feeder last year Brian and did ok, not as good as you mind but pretty good for me.

I think this year I deffo want to have a good go at them with the trotting gear. You'll have to show me some good runs :D

I only got one last summer and that was on my local stream where there isn't supposed to be any.

I intend to have some sessions after tench in the comeing weeks(when It warms up a bit) n'all, if you fancy a dabble you know where I am.

Method feeder Andy.........as usual :)

Lake packed today, I had 1 tench and 1 carp..................nothing else caught up until 8pm.............then I packed up :)

Only change from yesterday was hookbait was halibut pellet instead of plastic corn, my mate Ted suggested I change baits :) :)

Of interest was that the water temp has dropped 3degF since Monday. Not good news.
