Indeed. Exciting times for many.

I'm on the Severn for four days, never fished there in my life but hope to get at least one suicidal Barbel.

We are travelling up from Kent tomorrow so I may not actually get out until the 17th but there you go!

Yes, good luck everybody!

The question is, can I be bothered to go and pre-bait this evening...

For the first time in years I've got to work tomorrow :(

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

Hi All, first time poster here :)

I'm off river fishing tomorrow (can't wait) on the Trent, just below Gunthorpe weir on the East Bridgford side. Never fished this stretch before so if anyone has any tips I'd love to hear them.

I like to keep my fishing simple so my aim is to use a nice and easy swimfeeder rig about 20 yards out, using an open ended feeder filled with groundbait, casters, hemp and maybe some maggots.

Tight lines all :)
