I must admit, I prefer to use products that somebody I know has recommended to me. Whether it's line, bait or whatever, the comfort factor of having a mmate mention it works for me.

 

What about you? What would make you take a break from the norm? Are you an innovator? Or do you prefer the tried and tested route? Do certain publications add weight to the product for you? Particular angling 'celebrities'?

Well ALL my major purchases in the past 3years (rod/reel/brolly - even line) have been as the result of recommendations from fellow anglers - some even from this site!! Personally I wouldn't be swayed by a celeb - after all their usually being paid to say that aren't they??

Now then all this talk of new tackle latest this and that.

Just some simple words Designer Gear! yes you all fork out the cash.

 

Cars again simple words fast and world ralley? yes you all fork out the cash.

 

So this applies to anglers well the Tackle Tarts amoung us?? off you go and get the latest gizmo.

But the trick is not to pay and if a few kind words in praise of the product so be it.

Just keep freeloading its works for me

I want to say only on think:

if I have a chance to try all inovations in match fishing specially,I'll do it!But unfortunately in Bulgaria is too hard to do it,it's hard to find even books in owr shops and libraries.

Antoni - do you ever order from a web site? That works well if you want or need things that are not for sale where you live.

I also prefer to buy goods recommended to me... I hate spending a load of money only to read the next day that somebody else thinks what I've bought is a load of crap.

 

However, recommended or not, I would definitely not buy anything with the words "armour", "full metal jacket", "diaflash" or anything else sounding tacky.

i never buy stuff just cos its recommended in the comics.

 

I'm thinking of buying a new rod at the moment but i'm waiting to get a report or "feedback" on one from someone i know before spending my cash.

 

Got to say i also believe that the only reason most of the stars "recommend" an item is because they,re being paid for it.
