Just bought mine via the internet (as last years). It was SO easy. We really have no excuses not to get one these days do we????? It cost an extra 25p but saved me the hassle of queing up at the PO.

Anyone caught without one these days can have only one reason, they ARE trying to get away with cheating the EA and we the caring anglers should expose any we discover.

Its worth pointing out that you can print the confirmation directly from the web site as soon as you have paid. This printed confirmation allows you to fish instantly, you do not have to wait for the licence to be delivered.

First bad report I've heard....

 

BUT.... At least the other gentlemen will still be able to fish legally as long as he has a note of his licence number and proof of ID...

You cannot buy the concessionary half priced disabled ticket over the internet!

You have to take proof to the post office!

Surely they could link to the DHSS computer and save those with most problems of getting to a Post Office that chore!

In the U.S. we.d have a discrimination case going now!

I walked in to my local Post Office, bought a new licence and was back out the door in 5 minutes.

 

Not very difficult.

i aplied for mine through the new direct debit system and got a confirmation letter.

however so far it is not here and i cannot remember where the confirmation is!!!!!

But Cranfield, what if you wanted to get one "out of hours", or just when you fancy a couple of hours on a sunday evening and realise you haven't got your licence.
