tench groundbait

Recommended Posts

Van Den Eynde Expo is a good reliable groundbait

for Tench (the red one).Use it neat,or mix 50/50

with brown crumb. As for hook baits,I don't think

you need to get too technical here.Good old plain

sweetcorn, bread and worm or maggots should be all

you need if the fish haven't seen any angling

pressure for a while.

Best of luck , and keep us posted.

Would suggest pellets or God forbid,b**ies!

It depends on wether the water contains carp.

There is no easy answer to your question kleinbot

as waters vary so much.

I used to fish a small water with tench in of a similar depth. One of the best methods there was to floatfish the margin and keep very quiet. As for baits it varys from water to water so much. I'd start off with lob worm, bread, corn, casters

I'm back is fishing like riding a bike? you never forget how?

For many years I would have reccomended traditional baits but recent years have seen me using trout pellet paste over pellets for tench on both lightly and heavily fished waters.Seems to work every where for me and is very easy.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

for bait have alook around the edge of the water look for natural baits like berrys, etc give them a try, if theres been no pressure from anglers they proberbly havent seen a pellet or anything like that so keep it natural as for ground bait id use crumb and chopped worms, ,nothing else
