Very bad service!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recently,(well very nearly 8 weeks ago) I ordered some stuff from a "manufacturer" which is in the fishing buisness,(or so I'm told) with the total amount coming close to £70.Off went the cheque, which was duly cashed, and as yet despite phone calls and e-mails,I have not recieved even a sniff of the goods.I have been promised on two occassions a delivery date, and also promised return phone calls which have, like the goods have not been forthcoming. It has got to the stage where I am considering legal action to try and get my money back.I know it will cost a bit more than £70,but there are principals at stake here.I also sincerely hope that no-one else has lost their hard earned and precious money to these cowboys. Also this is the first time I have been "stung" from what I believed was a reputable company.I belong to a national "Specialist" club and will be advising all the members that an order to them is like throwing your money in the fire.I haven't given up hope yet of getting my money back. With the tackle, and other associated industries struggling to make it these days, you would think that customer service would be their top priority.Sadly,it isn't this companies in my experience.

Have any-one else here been treated so badly and been taken for a ride?......

The last time I placed an order with a well known on line mail order site, was in January, some of what I had orderd was out of stock at the time, and it arrived a bit at a time, but the main item ordered, a 12ft 4x4 holdall was outstanding for a long time, I didn't badger them but did send a couple of E Mails, resulting in still out of stock replies. In June I made a phone call to them, still out of stock, so I got a little agitated, and suggested an upgrade to the one I had ordered. They sent me the upgrade some £19 more expensive, free of charge. I havn't needed to place an order lately. but I would probably go back to them again, bacause of the above mentioned, I suppose I was fortunate in that I wasn't desperate for it, if I had been I would have second thoughts.

Whilst I don't condone the actions of this supplier may I suggest it might be down to the wholesaler. I have friends in the trade & they have major problems with some very big names in the industry when it comes to obtaining goods. Orders taking six months & more to be delivered.

Hi Peter,

Im afraid the "company" I ordered from, made their own stuff in-house.I was told they had sent the stuff by courier and they had lost it,was told that new stuff was being made and was to be sent out the next Monday, with delivery on the Tuesday.I'm still waiting. All ingredients to make this "stuff" was fresh!

I was given no explanation as to where the second batch went.

Yeah this sucks big style..if its a new business then this is very bad business practice..or if its well established then this is inexcusable..people part with well earned money and get treated badly then 'Name and Shame' should be done ..looking forward to Thurs and I hope all will be sorted before then...Angling mail order generally has a good name. and if major suppliers cant deliver what they advertise, why advertise at all?
