Fisherman's wives

mine too is a gem (well she must be putting up with me for 31 years) she too gets up at silly times (in saddly nowadays VERY infrequent trips) and even fishes herself ,either that or she's afraid to go back to sleep incase she has a fit and croaks but i suspect its the former :D

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

Life insurance? you wont enjoy a penny!

Paul Boote:

Note all of the above well, fellas, when you next sink the best part of a gallon of Kronie, Fosters etc, and utter the eternally pathetic words to your fellow Cro-Magnons: "My wife doesn't understand me..." She understands the likes of us only too well; it's some of US who understand very little about Life and Angling (as opposed to just going fishin' - baggin' up, being a bit o' a lad etc...).

The best line today, Paul. I was told to have a night out with the boys and not come home UNLESS I was pi$$ed!

That's how special she is.

This is a signature, there are many signatures like it but this one is mine

My house, garage, shed, loft, van....err, everywhere is full of fishing stuff.

She moans, but I bet she wouldn't have it any other way :D

Mine, too, is a gem. We are going crucian bashing this evening, together. My Lyn draws the line at pike though! I was an angler when she married me so it came as part ogf the package, when asked by her friends I have heard her comment that 'it makes him happy'. Lyn doesn't always fish though. Yesterday I fished and she knitted, and barbied the lunch down by the riverside.

I always though that Den's tribute to his missus was pretty awe inspiring, another extremely lucky man.

Knowing that Peggy reads the AN postings I reckon Steve is after currying favour!! But why not, that's what a good fishermans wife is there for!!

Got to say that a dinghy in the dining room would be one step too far for mine, not that I have ever tried it. But my Lyn did suggest that I do mine up in the conservatory!

She only reads some of the threads on the Non-Fishing Forum. But, importantly, I'm always telling her she's appreciated.

Like when she cooked and served BBQs on both the Saturday and Sunday of the Wingham Fish-In.

Its nice to hear Steve. At this moment I'm in between brush strokes on a boat that I'm renovating. We had planned to go off after the crucians about 4.00. I heard the phone going, came in to be told that we are now going at two. Bang goes my painting schedule! These women can be so demanding at times. Bearing in mind that she took a ducking yesterday afternoon and I was taking keeping my head down too.

Yes, they do like being appreciated, but got to make 'em work for it!!
