Can we please keep this post in the same vein that I believe the originator meant it? i.e. talk about the environmental issues, for sure, but don't turn it into a racist issue.

 

This is an angling forum and we owe it to ourselves to maintain it as such.

ok so some people can't afford to follow there own tradition and send their relatives down the gange. So how does that become our problem i thought it was a religous thing so how come they can pick a piece of river here and think they are doing the same religous ceromany. Whats to stop them going to the closest river they live near and putting the ashes there. From what i gather it can be any river and the religous meaning has no real meaning.

 

I would like to state i'm not racist and have many friends from all diffrent races.

We seem to have a double thread on this one, so as I said in the other one, with all the stuff some anglers chuck in the rivers, we ought to be careful about complaining.

 

Apparently, the Aire was chosen after a three year search to find a place with fast flowing water that also has a safe position for mourners.
