Oh C'mon Peter!

They are all as bad as one another! If you added together all the mis-deameaners, allegedly committed by either side, it would probably be a dishonourable draw.

But Blair is the first politician I have really come to despise.

He really is the most s****y cr**p I have ever come across in politics.

Colin.

"Too clever by half", maybe?

But then 'we' don't like clever (or committed to a greater, general, social good) here in a still-benighted, with-an-eye-forever-over-a-shoulder, just-in-case-the-Old-Rulers-decide-to-cr@p-on-us, li'l' ol' Britain...

I am NO 'SOCIALIST', mind (more one of the Old, traditionally designated, Rulers, if the truth be known) - merely someone who, at times (ability, ya know?), has had it VERY GOOD, and would like to see LOTS more people have even a fraction what I've had...

Very un-British, in some people's eyes, STILL, in our funny little country, but then that's probably - almost certainly - THEIR problem...

Regards etc,

PB

"What did you expect to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically...?"

I seem to loose it in the last paragraph. All country issues are linked etc? I like to go fishing, don't care about hunting, shooting, scraping S**t of landrover tires club. Does angling really nead the CA?

I take it all back, atleast one Tory Faithful has challenged me! It's far from being a draw Collin! Especially if you consider the magnitude of the offences. Go back as far as Profumo and add up the politicians who have gone to prison, then check whether its a draw!!

Peter

You could also count how many have been killed by starting an illegal war.

The torys worked for the benefit of the people that voted them in ie the bosses and the well off.

The labour party worked for the man in the street, the working man.

Who do nu labour work for?

Under Tony we have lost more of our rights to europe, we have stupid human rights laws that give more rights to criminals than victims.

We no longer have capital punishment in schools and the kids can do what they like because they know they cannot be punished.

If an adult or god forbid a teacher actually does something or threatens to do something to one of these kids the police are there.

But hey, nu labour have an mp that supports angling so lets all vote for them.

You obviously read the Express Mark!!

In truth I don't know the answer to the Irac accusations. Is someone has lied, and perhaps they have, then who started the lie? Is it a lie when you believe that what you have been told is true?

'You could also count how many have been killed by starting an illegal war.'

That's a joke isn't it Mark? How can the killing of innocent people be legal one way or another? If Hitler had kept his facist killing machine operating within the confines of Germany, then his evil ethnic cleansing of the Gypsies and Jews would have been deemed legal by the same 'ethical code' that you claim made the Iraq war illegal. Try explaing that to the relatives of the holocaust victims!

Besides which if you read unbiased reports it seems the liklihood is that the war at it's time of conception was, for want of a better expression, 'legal'.

There's various reasons why I dislike the Neo Tories too, but their decision to TRY to stabilize a tyrant oppressed middle eastern country isn't one of them.

Most of the people jumping up and down about New Labour have something to 'conserve' and don't seem to subscribe to the idea of taxation to pay for the services they so readily expect!

Well I'm afraid you can't stash your eggs away and still expect an omelette for tea!

Ok then.

Why are our troops still over there, we have gotten rid of Saddam.

Why aren't we invading every country that allows the killing of innocents on a similar scale to Saddam?

Is the world a safer place now that we have taken Saddam out of Iraq?

There is a lot more to it than getting rid of a nasty man that killed lots of people and we will probably never know the truth behind this war.

I don't really care who gets into power but I would feel a lot better if Tony wasn't in charge.

As for the angling charter, if it was drafted in 1997 as some are claiming, why has it taken 8 years to come to light. just in time for an election. :)
