on the way to the shredder i actually had a read of the bits of paper that drop through your door

strangely to my eyes if you dont need to take those cards (as mentioned on them) and reading the rest there seems to be no other ID needed does this mean if i know your name and address i can use your vote

seems very lax

hmmm could i cause mayhem if i went in early then late and tried again maintaining it was my first time in

never did it in the past but without ID and i presume no cameras monitoring the in comers could they prove you wrong ? blimey what an opportunity for fun .

perhaps they dunk your finger in ink?

Your name gets ticked off against the electoral role so voting more than once would be picked up.....

C.

that is surprising in this day and age but a tick on a list could be entertaining to challenge after all what proof do they have it was you earlier?

thumb print ?

seems this civilised country is well behind even third world ones in ID "theft" ,without proof theres scope for fiddling the results simply swapping papers surreptitiously.

i know a lib dem changed papers he collected from those to old to attend personally so its not unknown

not only do you have the chance to vote for the corrupt its very easy to vote corruptly

it seems by even the first 4 links i stumbled across "foreign" corruption we ridicule is just as bad here.

perhaps postal or proxy voting should be outlawed and only those with proof of ID (though theres nothing that cannot be proved ID wise) can vote and their finger dipped in ink just like those "foreigners" we say have corrupt voting systems

interesting and aptly named website :D

On another tack, I think ballot papers are actually numbered and then issued against your name/voting ref/number, so although you are told your vote is known only to you, is it??

No it isn't Colin, and never has been to my knowledge.

I suppose it can be used as some kind of 'market research', if needed.

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John
