isnt that just a re-breather? ,stuff our underwater swimmers used before jack custard reinvented the demand valve? ,The frame stops the bag collapsing and chemicals remove the CO2 where the bottle replaces used oxygen with a fresh supply

 

The LED was invented long before man getting in space

 

The Space "race" may have found uses or hastened development but little else bar a few ,things tend to be invented then sit about until they are found a use they are then updated giving the impression its new

what exactly did America "invent" errr anytime nevermind in the space era ?

 

i can remember a prog where a victorian englishmans design (not sure if it were made by him?) for an underwater breathing machine was made and it worked pre-dating even the "official" 1900ish invention of such a machine ,custard merely perfected what was already in use which was improved later until we see the single hose device once more

What surprises me is that the US government worries about its debt. You would think that it would be whoever the hell it is that they owe that debt to that would be worrying. It's like when you owe a bank money. Owe them a thousand pounds and they treat you like dirt - owe them a million pounds and they make you coffee!

It was sad last night to watch that documentary about the last shuttle flight and hear about those thousands of skilled engineers that will now probably choose to retire and not pass on their knowledge and skills to the next generation. I mean, where do you go after working for NASA?

america has just found out its all a big con ,there is no money every things run on IOU's ,bank notes are notes banks hand out a "note" is an IOU the government and the banks have taken money away from the masses and turned it into gold ,flash suites and big salaries for those in on the con ,the rest get IOU's

the idea of the gold reserve is that in an emergency you can buy those IOU's back ,trouble is there's far to many IOU's too little gold now those conning the rest have trousered it
