Depending on the dates we would certainly be interested, it's easy enough to get across from Kent

Now we have established that there is some interest we need to find out how many people are likely to come and for how long and what type of fishing is likely to appeal so that suitable venues can be sorted.

I have already got two or three venues in mins but it will depend on numbers.

Regarding dates, anytime in March or April would be fine so when are you all available?

I have just got off the phone to a guy with a 65 acre lake with the following stock.

Carp around upper 30s but some much bigger.

cats to 100lb, average 70-80

Sturgeon up to 80lb

Bream up to 19lb

Roach up to 4 lb

Zander up to ?30lb

Tench up to double figures

Cost for three day would be around 125.00 per person.

If that has whetted your appetite let me know :P

Pending the exact dates (as always), I'm in and dribbling! Are spectators welcome? Don't have PSV though I'm afraid but can definitely travel to whoever does or even go solo if thats the only way.

This is the lake I had in mind. Can't find too much up to date info so if anyone knows anything about it it would help.

I would be up for this although I've never driven abroad and don't really fancy it so if I'm able to share a car/van with someone who is willing to drive than I would love to go.

What sort of tackle would we need? My heaviest rods are 2.75lb carp rods which I would have thought would be calpable of dealing with most of the stuff I might catch but some of the bigger stuff might be a different issue, any thoughts?

I have found some recent reviews of fishabil that are not quite so complimentary.

How about this as an alternative venue

http://www.bountylemans.com/fishingholidays.html

there is some good river fishing (including barbel) not too far away and it is a lot closer to my place.

I have spoken to the owner and he will let us have the whole complex (both lakes) for around 100.00 per person in March which seem good value.

If you go to the carp forum link there as a lot of talk about the excellent fishing in March.

This venue would be limited to 12 anglers so we need some opinions and confirmed names.

I don't think this will be available for too long.

For what it's worth it would be my choice

(Tony U, you can bring your caravan :) )

Sounds great but it's getting a little on the expensive side for me, over £100 for three days fishing, bait, the crossing, food, fuel etc etc so as they say in dragons den.....I'm out, but the best of luck to all who make it
