Oldie - but still funny. Sorta like me, come to think of it. :D

Coincidentally, this is on the telly tonight:

Not available to view outside the UK, unfortunately. :D

Or fortunately perhaps :D

Having watched it, I must say there appear to be disturbing similarities between the way the girls are done up like dogs' dinners for the World Irish Dancing Championships and the dubious fashion for "junior beauty pageants".

At least the lads taking part don't have to suffer the indignity of wearing wigs and loads of make-up.

The level of dedication to training and the frequency of over-use injuries involved begs the question of whether Irish Dance is an art form or an extreme sport?

yes what was the curls for? i did think it could end in tears but the youngest losers seemed ok in their luck to the better dancers ,on the other hand the adults did send the odd dagger to their betters :D

i found the dancing boys "dance" far superior to the girl versions and not a wig in sight ,and all the time the boys heads are motionless while their feet a blur of movement they're not out causing trouble to others

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong
