I run a cleaner about once a fortnight, to try to keep things tidy.

 

Ran it yesterday morning and it told me it had removed 7,765 Temporary internet files, which seemed rather a lot. I wondered where it was all coming from.

 

Most of yesterday I was doing something else, but worked for an hour off line. Then spent about ten to fifteen minutes checking rugby results and a quick browse of AN.

 

Decided to run cleaner to see at what rate my PC is picking up garbage.

 

Was surprised to see that 15 minutes on the internet had generated 768 Temporary files.

 

Is this sort of rate normal ?

Yes normal and nothing to worry about. The files are in your browser cache.

this one page alone probably has over 100 downloadable elements to it so im not surprised.

Vagabond, All,

 

In order to use the "view new posts" feature I have to run a cleaner (CCleaner recommended by Newt) about every other time I log into AN.

 

I don't know what's filling up on the computer, but it is consistantly the same.
