I am in the same boat having just broken another one.

I have had enough of cheapies so I think I will try one of these from Conoflex.

Telescopic Landing Net Handle - 46” extending to 8’6” £33.19

If their rods are anything to go by they will be tough and properly made.

Me too, looking at one of the Drennan range as I want a long telescopic handle (10' - 3mtr) and they have been recommended.

I can't recommend Chris Brown's products highly enough. They are absolutely first class and, no, I'm not on a commission. I have one of his fixed length 6' carbon handles on a 36" net and it's a dream to use. Light and strong and I have landed fish up to 30+lb, single handed, with no problems.

Have a look at some of the photos in Jim Gibbinson's books and you'll see Chris's rod rests being used from way back and, I'll bet they are probably still being used today, such is their quality. If you buy nets or rod rests from Chris you'll never regret it. Not cheap but then the best never is, is it?

I was looking for a new handle as well, those Chris Brown ones look like seriously good pieces of kit.
