I was approached at the waterside yesterday by an anti who claimed we were being cruel to MAGGOTS! I listened to him ramble on with a polite smile and when he was finished, I asked him if he liked eggs. He said he did and I then proceeded to explain to him that the maggots were bred on the carcases of dead "layers" and if he believed we were cruel to the maggots, then he will have to give up eating eggs and anything that contains eggs. That seems to have stopped him.

And if the anti is a vegan, ask them if they like drinking beer and did they know that Brewers use either isinglass (made from the swim bladder of the sturgeon) or Geletine to get rid of the cloudiness. Well thats proper beer anyway, god knows what they put in lager.

Isinglass = Any of various minerals consisting of hydrous silicates of aluminum or potassium etc. that crystallize in forms that allow perfect cleavage into very thin leaves; used as dielectrics because of their resistance to electricity.

Gelatin (also Gelatine) is a protein product, manufactured by partial hydrolysis of collagen found in bones, hooves, connective tissues, and skin of animals.

Kleinboet - you could have offered him a chance to save some of the maggots by putting them in his nice warm pockets so that they could exercise their "rights" to complete their life cycle.

If I had that guy/girl come up to me I'd have just catapulted maggots at them.

Let them wriggle in their hair and down their neck.

As they whacked the maggots, stomped on them, and shook violently to remove them, just shout

If you want to wind up the veggies and vegans out there, just tell em that their sugar is nice and white because the inpurities are filtered out using activated charcoal and activated charcoal is made out of heated animal bones.

If they are spouting from an enviromental standpoint and wearing gold, you could always point out that gold production in South America is responsible for polluting the Amazon with cyanide and mercury.
