Fish ID required

Vagabond,

 

I searched Fishbase just now (for fun). Oddly, there is no such fish in the UK called "bream" or "bronze bream". There is a silver bream; white bream (the same fish).

 

No wonder we can't ask BUDGIE, why he doesn't like Fishbase. NO BREAM IN THE UK?

It's on Fishbase, on page 2 of a "Bream" search. ;)

 

Also sometimes known as Common Bream.

Your fish certainly doesn't look like a "common bream" in Fishbase. New PB for sure.

I fished the Thames today, mainly catching good roach but also had 8 silver bream with two over a pound, this being the best at 1-1.
