Some nice photos Nick - the only thing I'd suggest would be some fairly judicious cropping to make the 'interesting bit' as big as possible.

Many thanks to all that have so far replied, all advice gratefully received, Umber, I'm working on your suggestions.

BTW the black blob on Sunset at Gallanach is a bird, and is very distinct on the print, but I agree it is somewhat distracting.

Gray, you have mail.

Sorry Gray, meant to say I'm using an Olympus C2100 UZ, I am really pleased with it, but currently seriously considering a Fuji FinePix S2 Pro and a range of Nilon lenses

I have to say that some of the pics definatly ned cropping.

Some have too much water and some too much sky.

Try using two pieces of card on the photos and see what I mean.

Now that's a serious piece of kit - I hate to think how many thousand it's going to cost though! I looked at the Canon EOS D30 because I have half a dozen Canon lenses already but I just couldn't justify spending the thick end of two grand on a camera! Mind you, their new EOS 1D is £5500 just for the body Maybe if the D30 come down in price a bit and I get some overtime on this contract I'll look again (in the USA probably)
