The old punk anthem, God Save The Queen, is being re-released in time for the Golden Jubilee.

 

Do you think they'll let it go to number one this time, or pull every trick in the book to stop it?

Nope, don't think it'll sell enough because

a) everybody old enough to know it already has it

radio still won't play it

c) modern youth doesn't know what the hell punk was about. Heck, they think Green Day & bands like that are punks!

 

Having said that, it doesn't take many records to reach No 1 these days so if all the old punks go and buy it you never know....

i got it first secon third and fourth time round,

 

the sussex pistols(tribute band) are doing the thames trip the original pistols did in 77, ive been invited to go along, just hope i dont get arrested:D:D:D:D

mr lyddon was on richard and judy today ,i have always though him an intelligent and a royallist chap(dont let the hype of the music business fool you) and i was right ,all he dislikes is the endless "hangers on" which i think most of us agree , the queen works for her crust so is o.k. ,prince phillip on the otherhand if i can coin a phrase ( lives on immoral earnings ) princess ann rarely gets a mention despite earning her crust the most.

Johns always been bigotted, self opinionated, thats what he does best, its part of his ongoing ego that he chooses and uses very well, this man was part of one of the biggest public turn arounds in british atitudes towards music, nonpolotics and music industry revolt, the pistols in general did a great job when they where young.

 

i for one dont begrudge him getting old and comfortable, hell thats what we all want.
