Scripts Running on AN?

Rusty

Recommended Posts

For the past couple of days I’ve been experiencing delays in pages loading on AnglersNet. Often I’ll get a pop up saying that the page is running a script which will slow down my computer, I get the option to stop the script but it starts again when I open another page/thread. My firewall doesn’t tell me it’s blocking anything and a virus scan has found nothing.

Anyone else getting this?

It's never a 'six', let's put it back

Me too. Noticed it yesterday and today. I'm using IE8 should it make any difference. I've also noticed some odd things in the Status Bar when the page is loading. Something about inserting random numbers is one of them

nothing to worry about scripts running isnt a bad thing sometimes they just go wrong. its just normal operating of a website dont be so paranoid.

scripts can be things such as the facebook like buttons, advertising, picture loaders. the list is endless.

Yup I understand that Andy, scripts are a part of life but there's been a change in the past two days which is making it difficult for me to use the site.

does it mention what the script relates to ?

No it hasn't done so far Andy, just gives me the option to stop it. I'm using my work laptop at the moment and I'm getting the same delay although no pop up message. Odd, perhaps it'll just go away once Elton's got all my bank account details :D

IE9 at home but the same problem was evident at work when i logged in at lunchtime today.

No popup, just very, very slow and inclined to lock up and display the "Not Responding" prompt.
