Orchids at my front door

Recommended Posts

Cliff,

Beautiful, unquestionably my favorite flowers. Are those cypripedium(sp) or orchids?

Phone

I got them given two big pots,I already had Cymbidiums and a slipper orchid and a Zygo Petalum

i was just told they were Orchids but i think they are Cymbidiums.

Cheers Fred

Stunning Fred, our lass would love to have those at our door. Would they grow over here in the wind swept village of Hendon by the Sea, LoL

Some Orchids seem to thrive on neglect, nice pics :)

Beautiful cymbidiums, mate. The local Big W sells them every year but I won't buy due to the fact that they need about 6 weeks of cool weather to set the next season's flowers and that means I would have to put the pseudobulbs in a fridge.

Much prefer the tropical orchids, cattleyas, vandas, tropical dendrobiums, etc.
