just heard there stopping second posts deliveries ,who cares in the 28 years we`ve lived round here we`ve never had a second post (i think its for spoilt townies ) but having to PAY for early post deliveries is just blackmail instead of wasting millions of pounds sidelining into unknown ventures why didnt they use the money to safeguard their (and ours) future :mad:

As a regular ebay seller (PLUG), I send everything second class during my work lunch hour, i.e. 12.30 in the afternoon. 95% of my customers have received their goods the following morning, so what the hell is 1st class?

living in south wales, the second post is near meaningless, on a monday we may get post before 7am, the rest of the week we may get third fourth sixth and seventh post, last week we had a very important letter for our eldest son telling him he had a weight review for the army (he has been doing them for the last month) monday at 11:00am, the letter came thursday, at 3:30 pm.

 

just remember chaps its not the postpersons, again it poor management.

When I saw that they wanted to charge £14 quid for this 'early' service, I thought, "Multiply that by all the small businesses and households in the UK and that's a lot of money."

 

Then I realised that they meant £14 per week!

Let me ask you this,

Why pay for your post when 99% of it is junk mail.

 

Now we have to pay for rubbish to be collected £1-00 a bag. Anyone know how big the bag has to be.

Though i bet the posties won't be too happy if the 2nd post is taken away. Don't they get paid according to the deliveries they do?

I don't have one, either, at home or work. As far as I can tell, they now want me to pay £14 or have my mail a little bit later.

 

Oh well, I'm sure the bills can wait on the doormat for a few hours

Nor do we in the US have the option at all.

 

And we just had another increase on normal postage for letters. The cost to the post office of scanning for anthrax and such has driven their operating expenses up.

seems we have to pay to post them and the reciever may pay to recieve them ,and i hear that second class will disapear so if all post is first class do we get first class service ,i think not
