RNLI survey

To be honest Barry, no, I have not heard of anyone claiming on the policy. I'm just ASSUMING it's genuine. The N.F.S.A.(The good old days) had the same policy. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but SURELY if they advertise the policy then it must exist and be claimed against every year.

I'm tempted to join the AT so that I can make a claim against them for the cost of fish I have to buy....seeing as I'm now a criminal if I want to butter fry a nice perch :hammer:

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

Thank you Norm B, how you doing? :)

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

There was no consultation on raising the MLS for bass anglers, there's no point in having an MLS of 42 or 45 cms for anglers if commercials can take as many as they like at 36cms, 37.5 cms in Cornwall, it just means that all the "undersize bass" we put back can be caught by commercials.

I filled out the survey, not realising the data would be shared with the AT, I thought it was only for the RNLI to carry out a safety survey, God knows why the AT needs this and what they will use it for, they'll probably sell it on to a commercial company.

:bleh: Fine now mate, had some health / medical problems but seem to be over them now as long as I keep taking the tablets and have my 6 monthly checkups. I'm now retired from everything and hope to get some serious fishing in, not working to plan at moment but it'll get sorted, eventually. :yahoo:

good for you Norm, i note your shying away from the brighton pollack comp, i was with Terry last year and just out of the limelight. Have a punt on one of them charter boat auctions, might win one and we'll both be there to be made mugs out of. No tide again this year, that'll be a leveler.

 If there's not any tide we should be fishing for conger, pollack like a bit of tide. I don't like the "luck of the draw" aspect with all or most of the prizes going to the "lucky boat". Angling skill doesn't come into it if your not on the right boat and there's nothing more soul destroying that knowing that you've got 8 hours of purgatory if you're not on the right boat.

Angling Truss

:) Like it. As a subtitle you could add "as much use as a chocolate jock strap"

Ever since I joined my first angling club in 1948 (I was 14 then) I have been aware of angling politicians claiming to " speak for all anglers"

It has never worked - anglers are an anarchic lot, each individual or coterie pursuing their sport as they see fit. Long may it remain so.

As John Geirach put it "There are two sorts of anglers - your own party, and the assholes"

One point I would emphasise - Helping the RNLI trumps any political advantage, real or imagined, gained by the Truss.

RNLI Governor
