I think our full bore rifles were fitted out with these. They were converted from 303 to 7.62, actions and barrels from Parker Hale and the sights were fitted at the same time.

They were extremely accurate, pity the round was so powerful for the urban environment. We wanted 223's , but we were turned down in favour of converting the enfields.......

That would have been the model TZ 4/80, the last TZ sight made by PH.

Was that in the police force?

You never heard his exhaust explode (he filled it with thin aluminium rods to deviously pretend to the rozzers it was full of silecer stuff) we were on a run to the coast and you felt the shock wave 30 feet behind and felt the shrapnel ,he was lucky to be wearing thick foundary boots otherwise it would be his foot coming back ,tore two holes in the back tyre!

We kept noticing him drop back then go forward obviasly the melting ali at the engine end was starting to block up the narrow end and he needed to excellerate to push it further up the wide end until it was one big plug of ali then boom ,great fun

The end cone completely disapeared and to get home we stuffed the remains of the exhause full.of chicken wire and rockwool and flattened the end to resemble a fish tail ,looked fine for a few miles but avoided the cops on the way home
