It's just been announced that the actor Dudley Moore has died

An image springs to mind of Dudley and Peter Cook, Dudley seated at the piano, both of them singing"Goodbye, goodbye".

it proves that god cannot exist (or if he does he`s an extremly cruel one) that a man known and loved for his humour and quick witt ,could be cursed with a disease that took it away ,but relax gentle readers him and peter are once more on that piano .

A truly great comedian has gone, but he will live on for generations. He and Peter Cook formed an unforgetable duo, and I loved being allowed to stay up to watch their shows back in the 60's. I didn't understand most of their jokes until much later, but I will always remember the upper-crust Pete sitting opposite the working-class Dud discussing The Worst Job They Ever Had....

 

Later of course, Dudley Moore showed amazing talent on the piano, not only when playing but also in composing, and many times he has shown his talents at major concerts worldwide.

 

He was one of England's greats, and he will be missed.

 

Just think though, Derek & Clive are reunited again....

 

Dud, you brought a lot of pleasure to a lot of people. You also suffered a great deal these past few years. May you now rest in peace.
