Need some info on a Diawa Rod

I will take a pic of the lower part of the rod later and get it up so you can have a look. I would tend to agree by looking at it but I am not up on these things.

As promised here are the pics. You can see the paint job is quite different to the one that Diawa thought it may be. It is certainly older than the ones they showed me. It has dark purple whippings with a red line at the end. The paint is a metallic pink/purple colour.

Heard back from Diawa again today and got confirmation of the year etc. It was 1992. I have attached the catalogue page picture that they sent me. Very happy with my purchase.

Yes I was very impressed and I made sure to convey my appreciation to them for helping me out. As you say there was no obligation on their part.

Daiwa customer service is fantastic - they've helped me out many times over the years and I can't remember even one time when they asked for anything in return.
