Do you really want to roll yourself back to a dial-up connection?

I'd be interested to know if anyone has experience of this lot. I still use a dial-up and pay 45 quid per month

I thought the question was

"Is this the cheapest?"

No way to say unless you specify if you are calculating cost per Mbps or gross cost.

And business or personal since if business, gotta calculate against the salary of the person(s) using it and see if dialing time, connecting time, download speed, etc. make it cost effective.

And I didn't examine closely but is there any limit on hours/month connected? If so, figure that in as well.

Possibly to be completely fair, you should also calculate costs of medical care needed because of connection-speed stress with dial-up. And possibly loss of lifetime income if the user is stressed enough to die early.

And welcome back Liam. Missed your deathless prose while you were (wherever?). :D

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

Ta Newt,

& It's good to see you're still not missing any opportunities to answer simple questions with endless, waffily, OTT, googlestimates. (oops guestimates)

But on a positive side,

It's fair to consider that most people won't die of stress realted illnesses, now that good ol' america have started their regime of preventative measures?

You should come to a modern forward thinking country - like Wales (West wales that is).

They think that Broadband is something you find at the top of your pants. It's dial up or nothing for some of us. Regardless of connection speeds, I still can't type any faster.

Peter - unless you live deep underground, you should be able to get satellite service.

Take a look Here for information and links.
