This is one of my French brother-in-law's collection, with my nephew perched on it. It is a 1959 Ratier. The Ratier company stil exists, but these days they make aviation components.

Spot on chesters. Yes it's a copy based on Wermacht BMW dispatch bikes that were abandoned in their thousands after WWII.

that reminded me of the first bike I ever bought, a 350cc Douglas Dragonfly like this

http://pitchpull.blogspot.fr/2011/12/douglas-dragonfly.html

I was 14 and paid the princely sum of £6.00 for mine and rode it on farm tracks

There is one just like it at the moment for £4995.00

Ah me

They built less than 1,500 of them, hence the hefty price tag.
