Anyone know how they measure this temp?

I hung a digital TM up in my garden, in the shade but protected from the breeze, and got readings up to 103.8 during the day.

Maybe TM is wrong.

'Official' temps are air temps taken inside a Stevenson Screen. This is a white wooden slatted box on feet - I think there are probably some standards about how far off the ground they have to be and on what surface they have to be placed (I think its grass).

ps Trivia time: the screen was 'invented' by Robert Louis Stevenson's Dad....

My thermometor reached 35.6 centigrade

x by 1.8 = 64.08 + 32 = 96.08 fahrenheit

on Saturday at 1pm

That was on the east anglian coast with no breeze.

Yesterday it reached 37.5

x 1.8 = 67.50 + 32 = 99.5

doooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh

another half degree and I wouldnt have had to use a kettle for the tea!!!!!!!!!!
