I was sent a hotmail containing this W32.Sobig.F@mm earlier, under a heading of "payment confirmation" :confused:

 

Tried to open the attachment but hotmail picked up the virus, does that mean i'm clear?

I only know firewall, my mate does all my computer stuff, its what he is good at. Since he passed his last exam he is a Microsoft Engineer or some such thing. He works for the MOD. My ?Provider? catches all the bugs first, they then tell me who has been trying to pass what on to me.

 

It must be a bind for people like Elton with lots of sites and especially with his ecommerce.

I've got two mails lying in my inbox seemingly from Microsoft, and titled Open this Patch immediately, I dont know what to do, should I just delete them???????

It's getting better!

Only 20 infectious messages today, 33 yesterday and 52 the day before.

Some appear to be 2nd and 3rd generations, judging by the Re:Re:, Re: or nothing before the subject content.

Hi Matt, I did delete them, the next morning opened my inbox, there were over thirty of them again, plus various gif messeges, deleted them too. I've also got a few from an anon address, deleted. Its getting on my T*** now...and i've got some really good anti virus software, and good anti spam stuff too. :mad:

Try blocking the address they are coming from if you can mate

Hi Matt, I think I must have done something right for a change, no more mail from "Microsoft" but did have a couple of third generation mails from Al, and anon...
