It boils down to whether you believe a politician would lie, or that a policeman would.

Hmmmm, I'll get back to you on that one Andy.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

I have a sneaky suspicion that this might just be one the one time when the politician is telling the truth and plod has been caught with his truncheon exposed. I'm not claiming that I know this, just a hunch.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

It was early wed evening that the incident occurred. Yet by Friday it was splashed across the sun newspaper, big cod. :busted_cop::busted_cop: that wasn't by Mitchell but leaked by the police. They wern't looking for closure from a nasty swearing mp, they were looking for a tory scalp, big cod :busted_cop:

However despite the workings of the police, some of them armed protection geezers big cod :busted_cop: The worm turned. And the best bit as far as I see was when the worm took his pocket secretary into the police meeting and stuffed it up 'em. don't you agree, big cod :busted_cop: However as usual it looks like the perpetrators of this conspiracy and it was, allegedly, are going to get away with it, lightly. Sentence for one and a sacking on full pension for others apparently. Never trust a copper, especially if he has a side arm could now be the next thing to consider. B)

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

I also believe the usually lying thru the teeth MP but in this case he has broken with tradition and is telling the truth.

I honestly think he was " stitched up guv " by the old bill.

Can I just get this right? Did he swear at the police? He may not have called them plebs (?) but he did swear at them didn't he?

Swearing at a policeman is an arrestable offence...isn't it?

yes Den it is, public order offence, to a normal copper you probably need to repeat the swearing on a Saturday night along with other offences like being 'p' sd. for example before handcuffs are on, in the back of the waggon. for that Mitchell would have need to repeat the offence at the very least. The coppers would have also been aware that the public where just not on the scene, perhaps not, as they cocked that one up in the famous video that told a different story to the coppers note book and the report that the coppers put to the sun newspaper, unfortunately.

It may well have been cheaper if Mitchell was carted off, however it appears that these are not normal coppers, they had an alternative political motive and it has backfired on them and the tax payer big time.

Thanks for clearing that up. So he swore at them, one of them (at least one) thought he used the word "pleb" ? My god, the man should be hung for that :)

My take on this is that there has to be an element of truth in the story, most coppers wouldn't care if you called them a pleb would they? maybe now, but not before this all blew up?

Just what is a pleb that makes it such an issue anyway?

The guy swore, copper got the 'ump, guy denies swearing, copper digs his heels in, guy admits swearing but not using the word pleb, so hopes it will all blow over. Some hopes as the Sun got the story :)

The stupid copper who then got involved and "tried to help his mate" is/was a fool, and will be punished for it.

I am not so sure that the coppers had any "political motive," just doing their jobs and having to put up with an arrogant MP on a bike swearing at them. They are, after all, just blokes trying to do a job, maybe a bit macho though..............goes with being an armed man guarding our gov't buildings and staff surely?

All seems a bit like Clintons denial "I did not have sex with that woman" just a little blow job :) :)
