Live Bait Tank On A Caper

The problem with a floating cage will be drag. I currently use a fish bag hung over the side. Sometimes I forget its in the water when I paddle and its hardwork!

thats only because it isnt designed for towing, a boat shaped tank would offer little water resistace surely

A boat shaped tank may work but for me I want something more accessible & with a flow rate I can control. I wouldn't like a bait tank floating around when I have a big fish on.

 

Some yakkers tow sandeel buckets behind them but for me it will be a livewell.

i'm sure your plastic log users can rig up a floating tank that doesent get in the way

we used to use plastic dingies with kids plastic dingies holding all the bait and our dinner on tow ,no problem towing them and they never got in the way,the only difference to your plastic is we couldnt accidentally drop lit fags on the floor (i stubbed a fag unthinkingly on the side one with dire consequences )

the missing thing in plastic dingies is fixed tackle "pods" hence the need to keep it out of the way in even moderate waves dingies bend having a box of weights whack you in the nuts isnt nice
