£200 was the rrp, Andrew; they sold from between £160-180. Mine was £120 odd at this time last year.

Just fell lucky I guess, at a time when money's traditionally tight. Definitely money well spent though...

Ain't such a thing as a cheap Drennan Tench Float rod; not any more! They must have an awesome reputation - there must be any number of rods that'll do the same job these days, only they have "carp match" written on them.

I've followed this thread - not in least because I started it - and became curious about some of the rods mentioned. As you may have gather from my previous post, I've been digging about looking for the Fox Kevlar Barbel rod.

Now, in all honesty, I need another rod like I need a migraine ... but at THIS price, I really couldn't resist! Website was playing silly-buggers last night and it was the same this morning, so I called them.

Turns out they'd had it for a few months without interest! I hang my head in shame - I could not resist - I bought it!

 

Well ... what the Hell else am I expected to do at THIS price?
