I tell you something, that tip of Rudds re freezing your casters in water to keep them crisp really works.I tried it back in the summer last year and have continued to do so ever since.

When I go fishing, my friends the Robins come down and sit on the edge of my maggot box and help themselves. You mean that that must stop???? Come on!! these are birds that will take worms out of cowpats and rubbish dumps, both of those full of bacteria.

I agree with everything you say Kleinboet except one thing, robins are a woodland bird, and can't say I have seen many woodland cows!

They might be woodland birds, but they often fly down from the trees onto fields or even lakesides for food!!

Every maggot is one of God's creatures and deserves to be treated with as much respect as can be managed under the circumstances.

 

Mine have names. Eric I, Eric II, Eric III .....

 

After freezing for a good long while they're renamed to Dedric I, Dedric II...

Nothing wrong (well not quite as bad as!) cannoists or water skiers! The ones that are welcome to my spare maggots,drilled bullets and dog terds (if my Trev Tomlinson Whopper Dropper could fire them) would be those ultimate water users (or should that be abusers!) JET SKIERS! Aghhh no tolerance of these creatures Im afraid!!
