Good day out (with pics)

I went out to Portsmouth with Phil Hunt on his boat the other day and had a great day out. I did better than all the oldies showing im the business.

My first ever bass at 8lb was the best fish of the day.

Mackrel was the bait of the day which was caught fresh.

This Spotted ray added to my fun.

Can someone who has caught a few rays in their time give me a 'guess'timate on it's weight? If its 5lb+ i mite try for a shimano mission badge. I already have a few for coarse fish.

Well Done on the trip, that sea looks nice and "slight" wish last weeks WSf trip was that calm, i spent 5 hours asleep in the cabin and stayed a nice shade of green all day....
