i 50% miss it ,the boat was ideal when in was moored in pompy harbour ,we spent 3 days moored at nab one trip :) (very long amusing story) ,we also used to tie up to the turn bouyes in cowes week (arnt sailing skippers rude) 3 or 4 years out almost every weekend (bugger the weather) never drowned once ,all went west though when harbour put up mooring fees up by 250% :mad: ,good and bad times :D

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

Chesters, how about telling us the story in the form of an article for Elton. After reading some of your comments in the past it should be amusing and a bit of fun.

When the first pontoon moorings were put in in Weymouth harbour, there was then room for dozens of us that had been on the waiting list for ages for a chain and sinker mooring. Anybody who lived outside the borough (like me by 150 yards) had to pay 50% more than those living inside. Times change. Beauracrats have short memories. Recently, locals were accused of getting a '33% discount'. I gave up mine years ago. Since then it's all been privatized. Lots of big stuff owned by 'Kimberlins'. No room for locals on the national minimum wage.
