only got out twice so far this year, did a 24hr trip to whelford pools, and lost an upper teen at the net with a hook pull!!!!! and other trip was a 24hr session to blackland lakes had six fish all carp from 7lb to 22lb 12oz. was well chuffed with the 22lber!

Hi all, it seems many of my friends are catching and I'm not.

 

Granted it's only january and im one of the unluckiest anglers LOL.

been once this year had two runs and two fish 3lb mirror and a 13lb 9oz common

had a couple of hours on my local on saturday had a couple of taps and plenty of movment but no takes not even perch which you can usually guarantee

 

hope it improves and does not set the standard for the rest of the season

Went out yesterday 24.01.06 and had this at 16lbs 11, one at 12lbs 4 and 11lbs. Only started carping in November, so pretty chuffed.
