good luck rob i take it your a pistol shooter. theres a few england shooters at the club i go to. there all self funded aswell and never get mentioned in the news

Well I got back yesterday - all went smoothly, guns on easyjet flights no problems. The problem however was when some thoughtful pilot forced the shut down of Lutons runway. We had to go to Standstead then join the scrum waiting for coaches to Luton (me and about 500 others !). In the end I got home about 5 hours later than expected.

 

The shooting went quite well. I shot quite well compared to my last few matches so I was happy. Over the three matches England managed something like;

 

1 gold and 2 silvers in Mens air pistol - Mick Gault

(at least 1 team gold and silver)

 

2 gold in Womens air pistol

(at least 1 team gold)

 

? 2 gold in Womens air rifle

 

and one silver in mens air rifle.

 

So quite a respectable set of results and a good sign for the commonwealth games next month for the men and women attending.
