Wise words gozzer, I don't know what it is, but the longer you do, the more you feel in control and can handle 'just having one', we're both fine examples that its not the case.

I agree,( he says lighting up while writing this post). I think with me it's association thats the problem. I tend to smoke in certain situations,eg, the pub, on the PC,reading etc. I never smoke in a non smokers house or car, even if they say it's ok. Ive just returned from a 5 hour trip to Scotland as a passenger in my brother-in-laws car. In the car I wasn't bothered, but a toilet break at southwaite, saw me reach for the fags straight away, incidently he booked the hotel for us, nonsmoking room as well, he didn't think. I think i'll just have to stop doing those things ,and start hanging round with nonsmokers.
