UNWANTED GEAR

BURTON

In this day and age, its the teacher that should have the kids vetted to ensure his own safety!!

The whole world is beside itself with worry about the tiny risk from the odd pervert when in fact the real danger these days is from the kids themselves.

Teach them the wrong casting method and they are likely to stove your skull in............judging by the stories i've been reading in the papers lately anyway.

Sad world.

If you invite a mate's family to go fishing and everybody knows each other then great ! a police check is OTT. Have fun.

If you are taking a child that is unknown to you personally then a police check is a wise precaution. As is some level of insurance (I am thinking legal here, pay for lawyers etc) and probably some elementary evidence of a knowledge of first aid.

If money is changing hands then it would be a wise precaution to have more insurance and another adult along (refer to your insurance). First aider to be available and the obligatory "minimum first aid kit".

We want the kids to have fun but there are some funny folk out there who take advantage of what they see as cheap childminding. They still expect the same level of supervision and care though!

Hello fellow anglers well this has been a well debted subject which i can certanly understand, ok i will have my say now i have listened to everyones point of view.

I have just applied for the special constabulary so am deffo not dodgy, i also dont intend to take people i dont no or they arnt known by anyone else who tags along.

All i wanted to do was to to collect enough gear (which i also purchase myself) to have enough to provide for everyone, i also want to take adults ie mams and dads aswell if they want to learn.

I am also in favour for this guy les his course is fantastic im not trying to turn this into a competion who can get the best charity or course because at the end of the day everyone wins and so does the sport.

To all people who have supported me thank you very much and to those who still have a query just let it be known.
