For a lot of reptile species there are probably more in captivity through captive breeding than in the wild anyway, although i'm not totaly against cf/wc for a few species to strengthen the gene pool a bit.

 

As for birds in cages, how about dogs in house's, fish in ponds and cats in chesters sack :P
