I have just received an EMail from what genuinely looked like one of my banks, asking for verification of my ID and logon . It suggested a link to a site where I could confim this information.

 

The origin of the EMail was ... *****@angling-xcalibre.co.uk.

 

You have been warned !!!! :o:o:o

i responded to one ,gave my details etc ,a week later the scammers put a fiver in ,they felt sorry for me ;)

just joking NO reputable company will ask for your details online without reason .

i dont even fill in my card details online but prefer to do it over the phone, if they dont have a phone then i go elsewhere .

to get round the online discount (keep it to yourself) for car insurance etc just say you tried online but it kept rejecting your card details on the paying page (debit cards are always doing it) if the quote isnt the online one complain saying its the websites fault.

get a online quote and save it, it proves you tried online if they argue

I have just had an email offering to update my bank account - deleted it unopened as it was (allegedly) from a bank I don't use.
