Real Fishing

Elton

Recommended Posts

Ian (and all you other big fish anglers),

Picture the scene.....

After a trek of almost 10 yards from the van, I battled against the sunshine yesterday to set up my gear on an uncrowded beach, with concrete steps behind to make it even....err, easier.

Imagine my anticipation as the rod tip moved a millimetre or two.

Feel the apprehension as I struck and thought, "Could be a bit of weed."

Share my fear as I realised it was a fish and battled tirelessly with it.

And, please, join me in my elation as I landed a perfect 8oz dab.

Now, that's real fishing LOL :D

The bass that you caught was smaller than that, wasn't it?

Westie.

If you're being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then on to a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They're trained for that.

Yep. And the codling about the same size, but heavier :)

:headhurt: oh no that's one less for me to catch. :2:

You did kiss it, bless it and wished it luck before gently placing it back in to the sea.

I bet the sea was that pleased with you that it gave you a wave, as you left the beach. :sun:

Fantastic glowing report, photographs I just hope we have a spectacular catch like the on Saturday. :clap2:

What hook did you use,

What length of snood.

Was it a clipped rig.

Was it a flapper rig.

What bait was used.

How far did you cast.

What state was the tide.

Did you use a Multiplier of Fixed spool reel.

How long is your rod.

Did you use a OTG or Penduuulum cast.

Have you a TV licence.

What color Jacket were you wearing.

Is the Pope a catholic.

I need to ask these questions to increase my chances of catching a fish.

Your help will be appreciated.

From Top Blanker. ;)

Cheers 4 Now

Can't answer the above, but I do know that a one-legged duck swims in circles.

Will that help your chances?

Good to see a sense of humour returning to AN,

p.s. Elton, My 12 year old lad Adam, caught a 7 oz flounder, 5 days ago, and was 3rd in our 1st club match of 2006, winning 30 quid (it was also the 2nd heaviest fish of the day).

20 people fished with only 5 guys weighing in 1 fish each.

Too many numbers?......

You think that's too many numbers, try what I've jus been doing. This is no bull - I just had to try to track down a parcel being sent to me from Royal Mail via Parcel Force. I have more numbers scribbled down here than the 118118 boys!

Congratulations to Adam. Nice to catch....even better to win a few quid :D
