Photo Challenge #12: Passage of time

Theme Definition: Passage of time

A chance to bring the past into the present. Your entry needs to have as it's main subject something belonging to the past but which still holds it's place in the present.

Examples could be - an old tractor that is still used to plough fields, a steam train, old fishing tackle on a river bank, a working water wheel / windmill, a white roadside milestone, red phonebox/post box etc etc.

If you can combine the old and the new then so much the better - old windmill with wind turbines in the background, diesel train passing a steam train, Saxon church next to modern office block, Old film camera next to Compact flash cards.

We live in a modern world but relics from the past are all around us. See what you can find.

Criteria.

* Color or B&W photo

* Crop, Contrast/Brightness and levels are only done in digital photo manipulation..Further editing is discouraged

* Framing is not allowed

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

"Even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work."

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.
