Biggest pike

What is the biggest pike that you have ever caught, and where did you catch it, mine was 24 pound and i caught it in the lancaster canal, quite a long while ago. i have caught others but this one what a fight

I don't pike fish often myself, but my biggest is just over 15lbs caught on the Broads near Wroxham.

I *dream* of 35lb-ers, but have managed a 20ish (41") , also on a canal.

It was huge, caught upstream of Great Yarmouth, hovered, as scales do, 4 oz short of 35.

Peter - as I say I dream of such fish, and your catch is magnificent and must have been a magical moment. But I have to ask this .. quite often you mention "upstream of Gt Yarmouth" Maybe my geography has gone wonky since I lived in Norfolk, but isn't "downstream of Gt Yarmouth" pretty much in the North Sea? ;) ....

Downstream of YH would indeed by anywhere in the North Sea, hence my comment about being upstream.

The biggest pike I have caught is 21 lb 2 oz, taken from a Kent river on the 14 December 2001. This is my only 20 pounder, though I’ve had a few up to about the 15lb mark.

I very rarely fish for pike, so mine is just a bit over 10lb (as far as the scales went). But it was caught on double maggot, size 18 hook, 1.5 lb hook length, lip hooked and took about 15mins to land, from Hill Top Res' Marsdon. I was fishing for roach at the time.
