Tope Trip Wales

The other tope marks up here are well within paddling range - the one from Treaddur Bay is the furthest and that is only because someone saw fit to put cliffs in the way - not high cliffs, more like rocky ledges. Anyway, from a good launch to the mark is about 2 miles - 1 mile of that is across the bay.

Then there is a mark in Holyhead Bay itself - sheltered from anything that doesn't have north in it. About a 1 mile paddle at most - these two marks are where the big tope get to after they have left Towyn....so later on ...!

Camping is availanble at both places within easy reach of the shoreline. Treaddur is about the same as Towyn.

Holyhead is about 50 yards!

Hiya Richi.

Thats about the right price for that tent.I have a 2 man tent,4 man and a Cabanon 6 Berth.

The Cabanon is just used for Family Holidays as it takes about 2 hours to set up :schmoll:

But the Colman you are looking at would be ideal

Zzippy, I can't wait either, I just hope the surf dies down a bit. This was the launch spot today and the sea was flat calm. I would have been swimming if I'd took the yak :D

The picture doesn't do it justice either :(

That pic what Nifty just sent makes it look calm to what Bournemouth has been like for the last week :bigemo_harabe_net-183:

But I will be taking my fly rod and spinning rod with light line too.Just incase we have to go for Mullet.

Or Should we just take our sails and do some speed trials

Nifty......Does the tackle shop sell maggots?Or is it just a sea tackle shop only?

Hey guys,

on these trips you always have to look for plan "B"-"C"- D" etc, When we went up a few weeks ago we had predecided that if the weather went wrong, we would console ourselves with Mullet on the broads, or fishing both the Barmouth and the Aberdovey estuaries and if all that failed the pub would be making a few shekels.
