well it will be if they get fished out.

had a codling about 4lb the other day me the wife and two kids had our teas out of it,bootiful.

left to age for a couple of days,battered in the chip pan.

with all the hysteria about bass lets not forget who is king.

Cod are OK, but not a patch on Bass.

There4 are loads of cod around, but not in the uk.

Had 3 of 12/15 lb in less than 5 mins near my house in norway.

I think Cod are about the only fish that eat better when they are bigger.

 

Big Bass don't impress me, but a 20lb Cod takes some beating, but a 1 lb Bass is better again.

jim it must be a while since you have had cod for tea,as 20lb cod are not so common these days.

in my local chippy a bit of fish is £3.30 for i would say about a 1/3rd of a pound if not less,i dont know what they pay for it but it must be a nice profit for them.

our local chippy has never had cod on the menu in the 3 years i have been up here, it's always just haddock that i have noticed
