Ant,

The £10 a night is for the camping only and charged per tent or bivvy, so if 2 of you use a bivvy it is only £5 each, day tickets are £6 a day on top. I asked about this and the camping is a tenner because you have the use of the showers/toilet block. You can either bivvy up on the river bank or pitch up on the site. either way it is a tenner. I intend to share a bivvy with Malc2, I suggest everyone does the same.

Thanks m8,

Put me down for the weekend. I think Cliff will be coming too.

It sounds like you have quite a bit of experience on this stretch. Any tips for us Avon virgins as I hear it can get very clear during the summer months. Do you use Halibut grounbait/pellets or maggots, hemp etc. Cheers

Big bivvy is it?

We are very good friends and fish a lot together anyway and Mr Burgess, there will be no hanky panky going on. :)

Ant,

The Avon does usually run clear in the summer and I don't fish it in the day much at all. I usually fish from tea time onwards. All baits will work but I tend to use pellet mainly and boilies and use pva bags. I will probably make some groundbait up too, but the bream love it so tend to shy away from that in the summer.

Don't forget those bleak!

Looks like maggots are a deffinate no no then. I fish the Teme quite a bit and the minnows are a bloody nuisance. Hemp and caster was a killer for the barbel. To expensive now though and will be impossible to keep fresh if its a warm weekend. Looks like it will be the halibut groundbait/pellets then.

Thanks
