I'm getting "page cannot be displayed" on every other site I visit.

MSN Messenger only signs in when it feels like it.

Some of the pages I visit are full of white boxes with red crosses instead of pics and unfamiliar text.

I've run ad-aware, spy-bot, ccleaner and done a virus check with AVG, but everything seems okay with them.

I started having problems with ebay a few days ago but it seems to be speading and getting worse????

Is it possible that it's my ISP that's at fault or more likely to be my machine?

Any help is very much appreciated as i'm about to crack! :wallbash:

btw - Windows XP sp2 and IE.

Many thanks.

and IE.

There's your problem! :yeah:http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

Na, it's probably not just that, though changing to foxy is highly recommended :) I'd give your ISP a bell, I can't think what else it could be  Also, are you running on a router now? I had the same issue as you a few months ago. You might need to change the number in the "Wan Setup" settings of the router.

It could be a number of likkle things all not happening at the same time. :wallbash:

How much RAM have you got.

Do you work with loads of DTP, photo enhancing etc. Or downloading music/movies etc.

Do you do a disc cleanup regular.

When was the last time you did a defrag.

Firstly I'd close the system down, switch off and remove the power source, leave it for a while.

A clean cold bootup may solve most of those likkle problems. :2:

Give it a try, sometimes the simplest approach solves the most complicated problems.

Good Luck.

Who is your ISP? Only asking, as me and alot of other NTL users are experiencing the same problems as yourself.DNS issues or something?

"DNS" - That's one of the problems that's mentioned when running "repair" on MSN.

I'm on Virgin.net.

Virgin.net service status page only reports problems with slow webmail,so not alot of help there.

Virgin from what I remember used the same servers as NTL, wether they do now or not I don`t know. But it would explain it if they still are.

Looks like you will have to give them a ring :(

Good luck
