Best Birthday Present ever!

Newt

Recommended Posts

We both enjoy watching monster truck events - both races and the 'free style' events where they compete to see who can make the most spectacular jumps on a field loaded with obstacles like school buses, trucks, concrete walls, etc.

The trucks are 4 wheel heavily modified pick-up trucks with each balloon tire being about the height of a man, all wheel drive, all wheels able to brake individually, and from 1500 to 1800 horse power engines.

Jan's birthday is August 19th and it just so happens there is a monster truck event at the Concord dirt track that day. We now have tickets.

Yippee!!!!!

My idea and definitely a treat for both. Also gets Newt off the hook since I have already selected this and a DVD collection I've really been wanting so no shopping required on his part. He usually manages a card and flowers on his own... :P

Have a great time and i hope we get to see some photo's after the event.

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

Jan or you - nope. Jan AND me.

Finepix - she found out about the event and went online to get the tickets.

And I doubt they get that good fuel mileage. But man - do they every move fast!!!

Here is a pic of our favorite. Local guy and been doing it since the very early days. Not sure he has a car in this race but I certainly hope so.

Hey Newt is the original big foot still running?
